In the treatment of Lower Respiratory Tract Infections, including pneumonia, caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Streptococcus pyogenes, the standard prescribed dose in Capsules is 250-500 mg every 8 hours. In the treatment of Otitis Media, Capsules of 250-500 mg are prescribed to be administered every 8 hours. In the treatment of Uncomplicated Skin and Skin Structure Infections, the recommended dosage is 250-500 mg every 8 hours or an Extended-release tablet of 375 mg taken every 12 for 7-10 days. In the treatment of Urinary Tract Infections and Bronchitis the dosage of extended-release tablets of 250 mg every 8 hours and in the treatment of Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis, the patients are prescribed Capsules of 250-500 mg, to be taken every 8 hours or Extended-release tablets of 750 mg given every 12 hours for 10 days.
