Bismuth Subgallate Manufacturers

Bismuth Subgallate is available under the brand name Devrom. It is classified as a gastrointestinal agent. This pharmaceutical medicine is indicated for use as a non-prescription internal deodorant product. It is taken orally. Dosage for adults includes 1 to 2 capsules or chewable pills each day, up to 4 times per day (maximum: 8 capsules or chewable tablets per 24 hours). Dosage for adolescents and children 12 years and older should take 1 to 2 capsules or chewable tablets up to 4 times daily; maximum daily dose: 8 capsules or chewable tablets/24 hours. It is a heavy metal salt that is poorly absorbed and insoluble. As a result, systemic absorption is not required. A drug may have certain unintended consequences in addition to its intended benefits. Although not all of these adverse effects are possible, if they occur, they may necessitate medical treatment. This pharmaceutical medicine may cause a dark tongue and/or greyish black feces in some patients. This is merely temporary and will go after you stop taking the medication. It is contraindicated if someone is hypersensitive to Bismuth, Aspirin, and other Salicylates. It is not recommended in conditions like high fever, infectious diarrhea, Von Willebrand disease, hemorrhage, ulcer, or gastrointestinal bleeding with black or bloody feces, hemophilia, chickenpox, or influenza. Pregnancy safety has not been demonstrated; the use of this drug is not advised. It is secreted into human milk and is not recommended to be used when breastfeeding.

How does Bismuth Subgallate work?

When administered orally, the drug's relative insolubility and poor absorption allow it to remain within the gastrointestinal lumen and prevent colonic bacteria from acting on fermentable food remnants in the GI tract.

The cost of Bismuth Subgallate

An online search for the wholesale price of Bismuth Subgallate reveals a wide range of costs. It will vary from store to store depending on your visit.
