Magnesium gluconate is a mineral supplement. It prevents and treats magnesium deficiency in
the blood. It is also used to treat symptoms of excessive stomach acid that causes upset,

Dosage and administration
It is sold as tablets in strengths of 250 and 500 mg and injections as 1000 mg/5 mL. the
recommended dose as a dietary supplement is 500 to 1000 mg, taken orally once a day. The
normal pediatric dose for newborn to 6 months is 30 mg, between 7 to 12 months, the dose is
75 mg, for kids between 1 to 3 years old, the dose is 80 mg.
For kids between 4 to 8 years the dose is 130 mg, for kids between 9 to 13 years, the dose is
240 mg, for kids between 14 to 18 years, if male, the dose is 410 mg and if female, the dose is
360 mg.
